Family Life Program
Family life ministry seeks to embody the healing love of Christ by affirming, equipping, and supporting families of birth and families of choice to live in healthy, and resilient relationship.
Being a part of a family is a gift from God. Our families care for us physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. We, in turn, care for our families in the same ways. This cycle of caring is both a natural and a learned skill. Creating and sustaining healthy relationships is crucial to sharing a life in Jesus Christ.
Following Jesus Christ is something that is done together as a family. Family ministry isn’t necessarily new, but children, parents, and grandparents have a renewed awareness of the importance of the family unit in today’s increasingly fractured world. The importance of the family has become more important as we have become more isolated and have moved away from extended family.
At All Saints, we believe in investing in and helping your family equip itself to navigate the challenges of the 21st century. We come alongside families in the spiritual upbringing of children, the nurturing of marriages and the strengthening of family ties. We have a variety of programs designed to help families reconnect and grow in their faith.
Family Discipleship days are offered a few times a year. These Saturday mornings offer the chance to learn about our Christian traditions, craft together as a family and deepen our faith. Arrival is at 9:00 am with an introduction of the morning’s craft and time together as a family building and learning about the traditions of the church.
Following the morning craft, there will be other stations set up in a Messy Church format for children to continue to play and explore. Parents are welcome to grab a coffee and a muffin and to spend an hour together sharing their struggles, hopes, and dreams.
Courses are also offered at All Saints and they include Alpha parenting courses and Alpha marriage courses. These courses run throughout the year at various times. The parenting course is divided into two sections. The first sections if for parents with 0-10-year-olds and the second course is for parents of teenagers. The marriage course is also offered at various times of the year. This course is to help couples continue to build upon the foundation of their marriage and to strengthen their ties with each other.
At All Saints, we believe that all relationships are grounded in the love of God. We want to help you be the best parent or partner you possibly can be as we all join together to build up the kingdom of God.
